Virtual Cooking Demo: Extinguishing Heartburn

Perhaps you know all too well that discomfort in your chest… that painful burning sensation that keeps you from relaxing and enjoying yourself during or after a meal.

Learn more about common food and factors known to contribute most to heartburn and explore lower acid ways of cooking to help reduce heartburn. Recipes and ingredient swaps will be shared.

We will also explore the cyclical nature of stress and heartburn and practice a deep breathing exercise to learn how to relax and improve digestion at meal time.

Hatha Yoga Classes

Use yoga postures (asanas) and stretches with the breath to develop flexibility & relaxation. Hatha Yoga has many styles. Some use a specific series of postures, others offer a varied flow of movements, and some may use props such as blocks or belts to assist a posture or maximize a stretch. All styles of Hatha Yoga encourage proper alignment of the body and bring balance, strength, and calmness to the practitioner.

Nicole is passionate about meeting students where they are and helping them honor the needs of their mind & body. Her teaching style aims to bring curiosity, balance, and build strength both mentally and physically. 

Weekly classes at The Yoga Tree in Seattle are both in-person & virtual:

  • Mondays @ 12-1:15pm Pacific Time
  • Tuesdays @ 7-8:15am Pacific Time

Pre-registration is required & spots are limited.

Nicole’s classes are always engaging and restorative. She strikes a perfect balance between helpful and supportive in her teaching, and tailors her classes seamlessly to the interests and abilities of the participants. I always love taking classes with her!
